An interesting turn of events. Eric informs the billionaire planning the extrasolar colony that he may want to speed up his timeline.
The priminae are warned of the impending invasion, and Steph has to make plans about the actions to take.
Eric gets a promotion, and of course, everyone knows that the empire has so many more resources that there isn't much hope. And the empire takes no prisoners, not to mention that they want to wipe the Earth out because they consider us as nonhuman.
Chapter 5T
They've brought doctor Palin back in, so yay.
There are at least five typos in this chapter that need to be corrected, but the story is still clear.
Prometheus has been alerted, and they are contacting Commander Michaels, so it looks like everybody is gonna be all in.

A few mis-spellings, not too worried at this stage, as this is the first draft.
Apet hate of mine is not calling someone consistantly.
I prefer characters to be called by surname, especially in the military, or sometimes by rank or function.
In your fourth book you had a character simply called Susan and it was only much later I realised it was Ensign Susan Lamont.
By now, the EU, Russia, Japan and the uk will have ships built and the Archangel Fighter/gunboat should be around the several dozen built.
Also have the Empress notified that the Star Kingdom are scrapping old destroyers to build their own versions of the gunboats.
Love the storylne todate, one minor note in the section "Pentagon" there is a minor spelling error: "It would see so." should be (?) "It woud seem so."
Typo
For all that, however, it was clear that they could not stand face to face with the Empire if she have that final order.
Glad to see Navarch Misrem back.

Typos in chapter 4. First paragraph, 'on' instead of 'in', and 'through' instead of 'though'. 'Lady' instead of 'ladies'. Sorry, Evan, but I always knock a star off on my kindle ratings for spelling issues. I love your books, but typos annoy me.
And, oh wow, you brought back Misrem! I'm very happy about that.
I can tell that this is gonna be an action-packed thrill ride. Loving it so far
Chapter 3
Interesting. Possibly a setup for a new series? I like the idea of a book based on a startup colony. But I'm more interested in was with the empire.
Great 2nd chapter. One thing I'd like to mention, not that it actually matters, is I am curious about the fate of a couple of characters from the first books, the Navarch Misrem something or other, and the guy who rescued her from her disabled ship. I can't recall his name just now. But they were rather important characters, and for them to completely disappear now makes me curious. Any chance that we will ever know their fate?
Boy this is big can't wait to see how the story unfolds. Would like to see the records of other Xeno people. Lots of fun great job Evan
First chapter only, so this isn't an actual review.
I'm so pleased you've started on this story, as this series is one of my favorites. My only dislike so far is just a personal quirk, and it's just that when you refer to Admiral Gracen as 'Amanda', it seems to diminish her power. That's probably just me, though. Anyway, I appreciate getting to read this.

Evan continues to create wonderful stories from whole cloth creatively blending his knowledge of mankind's instinctive, emotional and cognitive development, realia politics; loyalties from self, to family, to tribe and country/species?; historical lessons learned and unlearned with the occasional leap into the unknown future. Looks like a great start to another addition to the Odyssey/Archangel series.
I like it, a couple obvious spelling mistakes, but good.
I'm suddenly a little fearful on this book's title. Have you gotten tired of Odysseus and Odysseus?
Talking of entities, is there just one on every 'inhabited' planet or more. Just wondering about Saul...
One thing I have often thought when Weston leads his squadron out is ship rotation, so that all Earth cruisers get experience with the Empire, plus that one stuck in exile over the superweapon.
And have we seen the last of the Navarch and her captain? Forgotten his name.
Re-reading the series now, but how about having Ivanth return?
You got Weston and Stephanos on seperate missions in same book, so how about Jesan and the Navarch?
and politicians were always loath to give up on power...

As to the chapter itself, interesting as it is, I can't see the relevance of adding it, not without reading the whole book, of course, something I am eager to do.
